Level Up Your Golf Skills
At Quintero Golf Club, we offer several options for one-on-one golf instruction at our relaxing practice facility. Our PGA-certified professional is happy to guide players of all skill levels through focused training sessions.
If you’re still not convinced, let’s take you through the options available to improve your game.
Types of Personal Golf Lessons
At Quintero Golf Club, you can get one-on-one lessons from Mark Sutherland, the Head Golf Professional. Mark has tons of experience teaching individuals, groups, and juniors. He has been in the golf business for over 35 years!
There are a few main options for personal lessons:
- Individual Lessons: These can be full swing oriented, short game focused, or a mix. Lessons are either one hour ($125) or 30 minutes ($65).
- Playing Lessons: This is a two-hour lesson ($225) where you start with a warm-up session going over tips. Then, you play up to nine holes on the course while Mark coaches you and talks strategy. This means he can see your game in action and give you real-time feedback. You can also add friends for $50 each.
- Lesson Series: If you want several lessons up front, there is a six-hour package for $600. This allows you and your instructor to work towards your goals over an extended period.
Your personal lesson plan will focus on your specific needs. No matter your skill level—beginner, experienced, or in-between—instruction at Quintero will help your game improve.
Benefits of One-on-One Coaching
While group clinics can be valuable, there are many advantages to working individually with a golf instructor:
Focused Attention
With no other students present, the instructor can devote 100% of their attention to you and your specific needs. They can closely watch every part of your swing and notice small things to fix.
Customized Program
In a private lesson, the instructor can create a personalized lesson plan just for you. They’ll consider your current golf abilities, problem areas, goals, learning style, and more.
Hands-on Correction
The golf instructor can physically guide and adjust you during one-on-one coaching. They may move your arms, reposition your feet, or adjust your grip. This helps your body learn the proper techniques and muscle memories for the correct swing.
Comfortable Environment
Without other students around during your private lesson, you can feel at ease making mistakes as you evolve your skills. The comfortable environment allows you to fully focus on learning.
Efficient Progress
Golf coaches often find that students make faster progress through concentrated one-on-one coaching sessions. The focused attention, customized approach, hands-on guidance, and comfortable setting help players improve their skills much more efficiently than in group clinics.
Who Benefits from Private Golf Instruction?
While any golfer could gain from individual lessons, certain groups tend to benefit most:
- Beginners: Those brand new to golf usually need hands-on guidance to build a solid foundation.
- Experienced Amateurs: Intermediate and advanced players often get “stuck” and need help breaking through plateaus.
- Aspiring Pros: Competitive amateurs and those pursuing golf professionally can use personalized, high-level coaching.
- Time-Constrained Players: For busy people, efficient one-on-one sessions may be preferable to multi-hour group clinics.
